What We Do
Industrial Services for Oil & Gas Facilities
Refineries, upstream production, and petrochemical plants demand a different level of service. Here's what we bring to the table.
Hazardous Location Electrical
Class I Division 1 & Division 2 wiring, explosion-proof conduit and fittings, ATEX-rated enclosures, intrinsically safe circuits. We install and maintain electrical systems built for classified areas.
NFPA 70E compliant procedures on every job. Full documentation provided for your safety file.
PLC & SCADA Controls
Process control system maintenance, DCS integration, PLC programming and troubleshooting, SCADA panel work, instrumentation wiring, and remote I/O systems for refinery operations.
Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, Emerson DeltaV, and other major platforms. Full change documentation.
Motor & Drive Systems
Pump motor installation and maintenance, VFD commissioning and repair, motor control center (MCC) work, soft starter maintenance, and motor alignment for refinery rotating equipment.
We work on the motors that keep your process running — and diagnose drive faults before they become shutdowns.
Mechanical Maintenance
Pump and compressor maintenance, alignment, coupling inspection, mechanical seal inspection, heat exchanger support, and rotating equipment PM for oil & gas applications.
We understand the tolerance requirements of refinery mechanical work and document everything.
Preventive Maintenance Programs
Scheduled PM visits for electrical systems, rotating equipment, and controls infrastructure. Written reports after every visit. Same technician every time.
PM contract clients get 24/7 priority emergency response for unplanned events between visits.
Emergency Response
Unplanned shutdowns in oil & gas mean lost production and potential safety exposure. We respond same day for emergency electrical, controls, and mechanical failures.
24/7 availability. Direct line to a technician — not a call center. We cover all of Southern California.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you qualified to work in Class I Division 1 hazardous locations?
Yes. Our electricians are certified for Class I Division 1 and Division 2 hazardous location work — explosion-proof conduit and fittings, intrinsically safe circuits, ATEX-rated enclosures, and all associated installation and maintenance. We follow NFPA 70 Article 500 and document all hazardous location work.
Are you on ISNetworld?
Yes. Direct Source is prequalified on ISNetworld, which is the contractor management system used by Chevron, Phillips 66, Valero, and most major oil and gas operators. If your facility requires ISNetworld prequalification, we're already there — no delays getting approved to work on-site.
Do you work inside operating refineries?
Yes. We work inside operating refinery environments and understand the permit-to-work system, hot work permits, confined space protocols, and safety management requirements. Our team is familiar with PSM-covered processes and the documentation requirements that come with them.
What's your emergency response time for Southern California refineries?
Our shop is in Santa Fe Springs — centrally located to Carson, Wilmington, El Segundo, and Torrance. For electrical and controls emergencies, we typically have a technician on-site within 2-4 hours during business hours. We maintain 24/7 availability for PM contract clients.
Do you handle both electrical and mechanical on refinery turnarounds?
Yes. We bring electrical, PLC/controls, and mechanical capability under one contractor — which simplifies turnaround coordination significantly. We can scope and execute work across all three disciplines rather than requiring separate contractors for each.
What oil and gas clients have you worked with?
We work with oil production facilities, petrochemical plants, fuel terminals, and refinery-adjacent operations across Southern California. Due to confidentiality requirements, we don't publish a client list — but we're happy to discuss our relevant experience during a call. Contact us at (562) 396-9924.
