What We Do
Pump Jack Electrical Contractor
Pump jack electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance for California oil production.
Motor Control Panel Installation
New motor control panel installation for beam pump applications — breakers, overload relays, control transformers, pilot devices, and all associated wiring in weatherproof and explosion-proof enclosures as required by area classification.
Correctly sized for your motor load. Documented and labeled for your field team.
VFD Commissioning & Maintenance
Variable frequency drive commissioning for pump jack applications — parameter programming for beam pump loads, acceleration and deceleration ramp setup, overload protection calibration, and fault code diagnostics.
We program VFDs for the actual pump load, not generic defaults.
Soft Starter Service
Soft starter installation, commissioning, and maintenance for pump jack motor applications. Current limiting setup, overload protection calibration, and fault diagnosis for soft starters that aren't starting correctly.
Soft starter problems often show up as nuisance trips — we find the real cause.
Wellhead Electrical Wiring
All wiring between the motor control panel and the wellhead — explosion-proof conduit, seal fittings, junction boxes, and motor connections in Class I Division 1 classified areas around the wellhead.
NEC Article 500 compliant. Sealing fittings at all required locations.
Motor Replacement & Alignment
Pump jack motor disconnection and reconnection during motor changeouts, megger testing before reconnection, rotation check, and alignment verification after motor installation.
Full documentation of as-found and as-left condition on every motor.
Emergency Troubleshooting
Pump jack trips and won't restart. Drive is faulted. Motor isn't pulling amperage. We respond to pump jack electrical failures fast — the LA Basin is our territory and we know the equipment.
24/7 availability. Direct line to a technician who has worked pump jacks before.
Why Direct Source
Pump Jack Electrical Is a Specialty — Choose Accordingly
We understand beam pump electrical loads
Pump jacks create cyclical loads that generic motor control settings don't handle well — overloads, nuisance trips, and drive faults that look like equipment problems but are really setup issues. We know how to program and set up pump jack motor controls correctly.
Class I Division 1 certified
Wellheads are classified areas. Every conduit, fitting, enclosure, and sealing fitting around the wellhead must meet NEC Article 500 requirements. We are certified for this work and do it correctly.
Based in Santa Fe Springs
Our shop is on Telegraph Road in Santa Fe Springs — in the Whittier oil field. Short drive to production sites in Santa Fe Springs, Whittier, Signal Hill, Long Beach, and Huntington Beach. Fast response when a pump goes down.
24/7 for production emergencies
A pump jack that trips overnight is hours of lost production by morning. We maintain 24/7 availability for pump jack electrical emergencies across Southern California.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What VFD brands do you work on for pump jack applications?
We work on Allen-Bradley PowerFlex, Siemens Sinamics, ABB, Yaskawa, and other common VFD platforms used in oilfield pump jack applications. We can also work on older drives that may no longer be manufacturer-supported.
Can you troubleshoot a pump jack that keeps tripping on overload?
Yes. Nuisance overload trips on pump jacks are often a parameter setup issue — overload relay calibration, VFD current limit settings, or acceleration ramp configuration — rather than a mechanical problem. We diagnose the actual cause rather than just resetting the trip and leaving.
Do you wire pump jack wellheads in classified areas?
Yes. The area around a wellhead is typically Class I Division 1 or Division 2 under NEC Article 500. We run explosion-proof conduit, install sealing fittings at all required locations, and use classified-area enclosures throughout. All work is documented.
Can you commission a new VFD on a pump jack?
Yes. VFD commissioning for pump jack applications requires specific parameter setup — the cyclical, eccentric load of a beam pump needs different acceleration, deceleration, and overload settings than a centrifugal pump or conveyor. We program for the actual application.
How quickly can you respond to a pump jack electrical failure in Southern California?
Our shop is in Santa Fe Springs, central to the SoCal oilfield corridor. For pump jack electrical emergencies, we typically respond within 1–2 hours for LA Basin sites. 24/7 availability — call (562) 396-9924.
